"I began the Fat loss 4 Idiots program because it just sounded right for an idiot like myself. By June of 2007 I had yo-yo'ed myself up to 294lbs. Every diet I tried resulted in more poundage. I lost 8 pounds on the basic 9-day version the first week, 25 lbs the first month. Then I went on a Cruise for 2 weeks and put on 10 pounds. I got serious again and lost down to 240 at a rate of about 5 lbs per month over a period of 8 months. That was my first "plateau". It took a while but I got my discipline back and began to lose at a rate of about 2-3 pounds per month. I now weigh 220 and I've been in a holding pattern(220-225) for about a year but I suppose 74 lbs in 2 years is something of a success story. I have a real problem with chocolate, dining-out, lattes, and Frozen Yogurt(which is allowed but not to the extent of my addiction to it). Good luck if you decide to try it but be aware--there is no diet that works unless there is a committed change of lifestyle and eating choices."
